WHY VOTE NO TO THE REFERENDUMS?

DANAH ZOULEK & JEFF GONYO circulated the petitions for both referendums AFTER the village board denied Danah Zoulek's request for a landfill in a Richfield residential neighborhood.
Direct quote from Bob Gannon, State Representative -
“I do not support term limits on a local level, and if I were a resident in the Village of Richfield, I would vote no on this referendum.”
We already have term limits with existing elections. Trustees must be re-elected every 2 years.
Term limits stop good, devoted village trustees from further serving the community.
Term limits help special interest candidates attain their goals, such as opening a landfill in a residential neighborhood.
Citizens support the current size of the Richfield village board.
Wisconsin state law allows 5 trustees on the village board.
More government means more bureaucracy.
Operating the village board with 7 members costs taxpayers MORE MONEY!
